Janis Timm-Bottos

Janis Timm-Bottos is an associate professor of art therapy with the Department of Creative Arts Therapies in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University and is currently serving as Provost Fellow for Community Engagement.

Screen Shot 2016-08-11 at 17.22.11Bringing 20 years of community studio practice with her, she discovered Montreal to be fertile ground to water seeds of creative community engagement through collaboratively initiating La Ruche d’Art: Community Studio and Science Shop in St Henri (2011). The Art Hives Networkwww.arthives.org now promotes arts-based social inclusion through small grass roots art hubs located within and between neighbourhoods across Canada, US, and Europe.
